I love learning as much as I love teaching, so I’m an avid consumer of science books and journalism. I’ve also always enjoyed the research that goes into writing on scientific topics, whether on natural hazards, climate science, geology, or soil science (and beyond).

I volunteered as a science writer for Remineralize the Earth for over a year, where in addition to various forms of science writing for the organization, I was tasked with meeting, interviewing and photographing a scientist in my local area who was finishing his PhD.

His involvement with soil regeneration and nutrition was not only a part of his academic program, it was something he was personally passionate about.
